Details

Published to mark the centenary of Bradman's birth in 1908, Robert Ingpen charts the history of the Bradman legend. A great book for kids or adults it simply tells and illustrates Donald Bradman's life from boyhood in Bowral to his post-war comeback with The Invincibles. It was in Bowral where he honed his batting skills using a stump for a bat and a golf ball against a rainwater tank. The book goes on to describe the impact Sir Don had in England, his exceptional run rates, the infamous Bodyline series and his time as Australian cricket captain.
